- "IRISH PICCOLO" DESCANT WHISTLE --TM
One of a kind, great for session playing! Invented by Andrew Lamy, this "Irish Piccolo" plays sweetly in the high and sopranino registers. This dulcet instrument is amazing for jigs & reels, and hauntingly gorgeous for slow airs and song accompaniments.
Examples: Last Night's Fun (reel), The Cat that Ate the Candle (jig), The Impish Hornpipe.
- TINWHISTLE LOW C# EXTENSIONS AND TUNING SLIDES --
We can modify cylindrical tinwhistles (Generation, Oak, etc.) with fine brass extensions for low C# to prevent awkward octave wrap-arounds on many fiddle tunes. Extension also permits a true roll (although you may still choose to cran sometimes)on both low D and D in the staff, as well as the "timbre trill" vibrato used by pipers and whistlers on other pitches. If needed, we can also add a brass tuning slide to your whistle.
Examples: The Cliffs of Glencolmcille, Uncle Rat
